In the Negev Desert
on the way down to Machtesh Ramon. It actually rained, and was a gray,
cold day; quite unusual for a desert in the daytime. But some of the landscape was
very impressive...

Down by the Machtesh Ramon is an Alpaca and Llama farm. The
animals were imported from South America some time ago, and have flourished here. It
was pretty wild; the animals run freely in and out of their pens and come up to you very
agressively looking for food. At one point these peacocks were strutting
beautifully, but their striking colors did not come accross on this gray day. You
can see one here.

They have camel rides here as well.
