The kids made us go back to their favorite watering hole, Gan Hashlosha, colloquially
known as the Sachne.

Next to the Sachne are Kibbutz Bet Alfa, and Kibbutz Heftzi-bah. In 1929, a sixth
century mosaic floor was discovered on the property of Kibbutz Heftzi-bah. The floor was
part of an ancient synagogue in the ancient settlement Bet-Elfa. Today it belongs to the
National Parks Authority. Here's a picture of the floor. You'll notice that
the central component is the 12 signs of the Zodiac, and in the middle of the circle is an
image of the Greek Sun God. Pretty racy for a synagogue, and these guys were not
even Reform!
